At Mack’s Flooring, we want your hardwood floors to provide enjoyment for years to come. Our expert flooring specialist will talk with you about the traffic patterns and use of your space, as well as your preferences for color, feel, and maintenance. We’ll give you a range of flooring options and help you decide which best suits your needs and budget, then work with you to determine the most convenient time to install. We’ll also lead you through the best ways to maintain your flooring to make it beautiful for years to come.

Prefinished or Unfinished Flooring

Most of our installations are solid wood flooring, and we offer a variety of wood species and grades such as Red Oak, White Oak, American Cherry, Maple, Heart Pine, Hickory, Brazilian Cherry, and more! These can be either prefinished or unfinished hardwoods. Prefinished solid wood flooring produces no dust or odors during installation and takes about half the time to complete in comparison to unfinished hardwood flooring, but unfinished hardwoods allow for a truly custom finish.

Materials

It is our goal to provide our customers with top-quality products. We order our hardwoods from reputable distributors with woods that are expertly milled and kiln-dried. We stay up to date in using the best and most current products and practices.

Our Team

Our hardwood installation team is trustworthy, courteous, and fully insured. We use only well-maintained, state-of-the-art sanding and buffing machines and take all necessary precautions to be sure that your walls, furnishings, cabinets, and appliances are protected from even the smallest dings or scratches.

Sanding

We begin the process by using quality sanding papers and abrasive products by 3M. Because sanding and refinishing create wood dust within your home, our staff will take measures to control dust and particles by turning off heating and cooling systems during sanding, opening doors and windows (if possible), sealing doors and openings, taping off cabinetry, and hanging drop cloths. We offer a dust reduction system on request that further enables us to protect your furniture and personal belongings from most of the dust from the sanding and refinishing process.

Stains and Finishes

We offer a wide variety of stain colors by Minwax and we can custom-mix colors to fit your decor needs. We use only the highest quality finishes such as oil-modified and water-borne polyurethane, in addition to other fine finishes.
